Billing & Plans

StitchGraph offers free and paid plans for both personal accounts and organizations. This guide explains what each plan includes and how the Stripe billing flow works.

Plans Overview

StitchGraph has two billing paths:

  • Personal billing — covers your own maps and features. Starter can start checkout from your Preferences page. Stripe handles subscription changes after purchase.
  • Organization billing — covers maps and features for everyone in the org. Teams is the self-serve org purchase path. Paid orgs use the billing page as a status/view surface, while Enterprise is contact-based.

Taxes may be added at checkout where required.

Personal Plans

Every StitchGraph account starts on the Starter plan. Personal plans are Starter, Pro, and Max:

Tip: Starter includes 15 AI prompts per cycle across your personal maps. Upgrade to Pro or Max when you need more AI capacity or more than 3 personal maps.

Organization Plans

Organizations have their own plan tiers, separate from personal billing. Organization plans cover all maps created within the org. Creating an organization requires the Teams self-serve org plan.

Note: Only org Owners and Admins can manage organization billing. Regular members cannot view or change the org plan. See the Organizations guide for role details.

AI Quotas

Counted AI prompts include AI Chat, AI Generate Map, and AI Expand Branch. Personal plans include a set number of AI prompts:

  • Starter: 15 AI prompts per signup-anniversary cycle
  • Pro: 1,000 AI prompts per month
  • Max: 2,000 AI prompts per month
  • Teams / Enterprise: Unlimited AI prompts

Monthly and annual Pro or Max subscriptions share the same monthly AI allowance. Billing cadence only changes how often you are charged.

When you reach your prompt limit, you'll see a notification with the option to upgrade your plan.

Export Limits

Export availability depends on your plan:

  • Starter: PNG export only, with a StitchGraph watermark
  • Pro / Max / Teams / Enterprise: All formats (PNG, JPG, SVG, PDF, Markdown), no watermark

Managing Your Subscription

Subscription management is handled in Stripe. Payment methods, receipts, invoices, cancellations, and subscription changes after purchase are handled there.

Personal subscription:

Go to Preferences → Subscription section to see current billing status and start checkout from the free plan if you need to upgrade from the free plan. Ongoing subscription management happens in Stripe after purchase.

Organization subscription:

As an org Owner or Admin, the organization's billing page is a status and view surface for paid orgs. Teams is the self-serve org purchase path, and Enterprise is contact-based.

After checkout:

After purchase, Stripe handles payment methods, receipts, invoices, cancellations, and any self-serve subscription changes supported for your plan. Enterprise remains contact-based rather than a self-serve Stripe change path.

  • "Your subscription is active!" — your purchase or change was successful.
  • "Checkout was canceled" — you exited checkout without completing the purchase. No charge was made.
Warning: If you see a "Payment issue" banner, the active subscription is still managed in Stripe after purchase.

If you cancel your subscription, a Cancels [date] badge shows when your access ends. You keep full access until the end of the current billing period.
